HAC sweeps the boards at Cornerstone 5

The 3rd annual Cornerstone 5 mile race, held around the old traditional East Carlton route, saw an uncompromising display from Harborough AC, with 7 athletes returning with trophies.
First across the line was Sean Fenwick - retaining the title he won last year - in a highly competitive time of 27 minutes and 52 seconds, cementing a very poignant personal mark of respect on a difficult day. He was followed home by Jason Pitcher (5th) in 30 minutes and 46 seconds - carrying an extra bit of credit having only decided to run that morning.
Also taking home one of the intricately carved cut glass trophies were Rick Brown (1st MV55 in 34 minutes 29 seconds); Chairman Pete Leach - complete with some sparkingly new boots (1st MV60 in 37 minutes 43 seconds); Lianne Brooks (3rd SL with 42 minutes 06 seconds); the evergreen Dave Oram (1st MV65 in 43 minutes 05 seconds) and Anne Knights capped off a tremendous haul for HAC with 1st LV55, in a time of 59 minutes 30 seconds.

Congratulations to all involved!
