We welcome junior members and have a thriving junior section. Many of our younger members go on to be club seniors.
Club training sessions will increase your fitness help you develop the technical skills of running, jumping and throwing. You can specialise in your chosen event as you get older and your talent develops. We have friendly coaches and ensure that training and competition are both focused and fun.
Training is held outdoors at Market Harborough Rugby Union Football club from April – October and indoors in the sports hall at the Robert Smyth Academy October- March.
Our location makes it easy for parents to drop off and collect their child by car as there is plenty of free parking available adjacent to the rugby club and the Robert Smyth Academy .
The club takes safeguarding seriously and we aim to ensure our training sessions take place in a fun, friendly and respectful environment. Our safeguarding policy and contact details of our club safeguarding officers are on the website. Parents and carers are always welcome to speak to the junior coordinator or any club official if they have any concerns about their child.
If your child wants to try us out please complete and send the Junior Introduction Form to us. On receipt the club’s Junior Coordinator will contact you to discuss your child’s interest in joining. A date will be agreed for the first session and your child will be allocated to a training group with a “training buddy” to help them settle in. The first two taster sessions are free after which we will ask you to join the club, pay the membership fee and book and pay for future sessions via our ClubPal app. Please do not take out membership of the club until after completing this form and attending your taster sessions.
