A Marathon Weekend in MK

The multiple distances of 3 time postponed the MK Marathon Weekend proved popular with the members of Harborough AC. Originally planned for May 2020, like so many events it has had to wait until the summer of 2021 to finally take place.

Harborough AC were represented in the 5km Rocket by Mick Anderson finishing 24th and a field of 5 runners for the Half Marathon, with both of these events taking place on Saturday 26th. In the Marathon on Sunday 27th, Simon Poynton completed the course in 4:24:31.

Steve King was running in memory of his sister in law who was cared for by Willen Hospice which is on one of lakes the course went around. Steve secured another PB and club record with a time of 1:28:36. Steve was joined by Val Goode, Sarah Goode, Martin Nicolls and Joe Blyth who also achieved a PB with a time of 1:33:39.
