Athletes of the Month for August

Juniors – Jack Stringfellow

Jack joined Harborough AC in May 2021 and has shown great commitment to training both on Monday Evenings and at Saturday track sessions.

He represented the club for the first time at Corby Open Champs in August with an amazing 1st place at 600m in sub 2 minutes and 2nd place in the 150m. Always positive and enthusiastic, Jack is focused and consistently works to improve his personal performance.

Seniors – Maria Shaw

Our senior Athlete of the Month for August is Maria Shaw. Huge congratulations to Maria, who ran in the British Masters Championships on 22nd August where she won the F40 800m in a new club record of 2.30.3.

She also competed at the Corby Open Champs achieving PBs in the 200m, 800m and 1500m races, showing her versatility over multiple distances. Fantastic achievements, well done Maria.
