Midlands County AA cross country championships

Our runners braved the extreme weather conditions on 29 January 2022 to compete in the Midlands County AA cross country championship at Berry Hill Park, Mansfield.

Jospeh O’Connell led the way for the club and came a creditable 11th in the Junior Men’s race over 8k in a time of 28:01. In the Senior Women’s 8k race, Jacquie Hanmer came 72nd in 36:37 followed by Hazel O’Connell in 91st place in 38:37. For the Senior Men, Dan Perrin (52:35), Nick Osborne (53:52) and Iain Barber (58:14) represented the club well and finished in 183rd, 197th and 236th places respectively. Pete Leach competed for the Masters Men over 8k clocking up a time of 51:07.
